My Soul

My Soul

In shadows of longing, my soul does roam,

Thirsting for God, in a sacred poem.

Like a deer that yearns for streams so free,

My heart echoes, longing to see.

Send forth your light, O guiding truth,

To lead me to the mount of eternal youth.

In the sanctuary where your presence dwells,

My soul in awe, in worship, swells.

At the altar of joy, I'll render my praise,

Harmonizing gratitude in melodious ways.

Redeemer divine, with a heart full of grace,

My soul awaits to see your face.
